Ching Mo — a tradition spanning generations

The Ching Mo Heritage

Ching Mo (精武 — Pure Martial) traces its roots to the legendary Jing Wu Athletic Association founded in Shanghai in 1910, one of the most influential martial arts organisations in Chinese history.

Our UK school carries forward this proud legacy, bringing authentic Chinese martial arts to communities across Britain. Since our founding, we have been dedicated to preserving traditional techniques whilst making them accessible and relevant to modern students of all backgrounds.

Over the decades, Ching Mo has grown from a small training group into a thriving school with hundreds of students, a family of dedicated instructors and a reputation built on quality, integrity and genuine passion for the art.

Our Mission & Values

Everything we do is guided by the same principles that have shaped Chinese martial arts for centuries.

Integrity

We uphold the highest standards of conduct inside and outside the training hall. Honesty, respect and humility are the foundations of everything we do.

Dedication

Mastery takes time and commitment. We celebrate the journey as much as the destination, encouraging every student to give their best at every session.

Community

Ching Mo is more than a martial arts club — it is a family. We support, challenge and inspire each other, creating bonds that last far beyond the training hall.

Tradition

We are proud custodians of a rich martial heritage. Our teaching preserves authentic techniques and philosophy passed down through generations of dedicated practitioners.

Growth

We believe every person has unlimited potential. Our structured curriculum, grading system and expert guidance give every student a clear path to continuous improvement.

Inclusivity

Martial arts is for everyone. Regardless of age, background, gender or fitness level, every person who walks through our doors is treated with equal respect and welcome.
